RUCA SOUZA IS PURE ROCK

 

The singer and guitar player dives into the classical guitar and voice strength.

 

 

Ruca remains sensitive on her songs, but got out the Brazilianness Touch of her previous

work (Café Brasilis) to come back to her roots at grunge rock. "Marte" (Mars), the album,

is among the top 10 releases of the year in Santa Catarina by critics and

the public of independent culture.

 

 

ALBUM RELEASE

In Brazil, the release of Marte took place on 2014, November 15, and start

seeling the CD format. By 2016, Ruca Souzall released the album in vinyl format,

at International Pop Overthrow with two gig at The Cavern Pub and The Cavern Club. 

 

"Marte" had music production by Alexandre Siquera, recorded in Play Records with

funding from Unimed Litoral, through the Law for Promotion of Culture 2014 Itajaí - SC.

 

 

MUSIC AWARD 

At december 2014, Ruca  got nominated for the category "New Artist"

at the Music Prize of Santa Catarina (Prêmio da Música Catarinense).

The award, which had the penultimate stage the popular vote,

Ruca Souza had with significant vote by public choice,

losing only in the last step of the final jury choice.

 

The next year, at november 2015, Ruca Souza was invited to play at the Music Prize of Santa Catarina (Prêmio da Música Catarinense), 

been she one of the main attractions.

 

 

RUCA SOUZA

Ruca began studying music at age 12, when he experienced some compositions. Had guitar lessons for short periods until devoted herself to learning the musical universe by self-taught. Her self-education gives this special identity to the voice work and guitar. With 17 years began playing at pubs with the band of folk-punk Himen; From 2009 to 2013 was led singer and guitar at the band Café Brasilis that released two EPs, one CD, one clip and one documentary.

 

At 2014, Ruca Souza release her first solo album, which was a great success, receiving rave reviews and invitations for prizes and great shows. At 2016, she starts her international career with a show at the legendary The Cavern Club (Liverpool/UK), releasing the album "Marte" in vinyl format.
